Artist Review "Abbas
Ali Khan"
Pakistan
is the land of talented and creative people. This is not
just a sentence but it’s the reality. In every sphere of
life we can see talented Pakistanis working hard and
getting higher places. Just take example of Music. Our
musicians are known around the world for their quality
music. No matter if they are big names like Nusrat Fateh
Ali Khan, Junoon etc. or some underground musicians. Their
music is very rich in its own kind but Pakistani touch is
prominent in it. One of such talented upcoming singer is
Abbas Ali Khan.
Abbas
started taking interest in music and arts at age of 5 when
he used to play with his keyboard. He never got any formal
musical training from any one. But ever one in his family
is a music lover and a good listener and this helped him a
lot in polishing his music related skills. He is a
Vocalist, Composer, Lyricist, Keyboardist, Rhythm
Guitarist, Graphic Designer, Animator as well as Visual
Effects Designer. In other words Abbas is multitalented
artist who is master of all forms of arts. Music is his
hobby but by profession he is perusing his career in
Information Technology. No doubt Abbas has achieved a lot
at the young age of 23.
Recently
his debut album “Humsafar” has been released across
Pakistan by BMN Records. Abbas has signed three-album
contract with BMN. “Humsafar” is his first offering
containing 11 tracks. This is an easy listening mild
fusion album with eastern classical touch in the vocals.
Abbas has done all the lyrics, composition, arrangement
and keyboard sequencing work himself. A special track on
the album is an instrumental with Ustad Salamat Hussain,
which he did at age 14. One of popular track by Abbas is”
Aao Na” with excellent beats. This track will definitely
attract all trance lovers. This album intends to add a
new sound and identity to the Pakistani music scene.
With
release of first album, Abbas ha started working on second
album in which his focus is on oriental and fusion music.
He has just finished production of his second music video
for the song “Jane Kia Hay”. Shehryar Hydri is director
of this video that you can watch out of various Pakistani
channels. Abbas’s official website
http://www.abbasalikhan.com is under construction but
you can check out his great songs at
http://abbas.iuma.com
Abbas is
talented artist who has spent most of his life in making
music. Pakistan is lucky enough to have such talented
people around; only thing that still lacks is their proper
projection and promotion. This time it was good initiative
by BMN to select an artist from underground music scene.
Do support the artist by listening his music and you can
also check out for CD of “Humsafar” in a music store near
you.
