Review of Abrar's Album "Mall-o-Mall"

After going to Billo Day Ghar, this time Abrar is taking his fans to Mall Road. His new album is titled "Assan Jana Mall-o-Mall". This album has everything that Abrar's fans can expect from him and more.

The album starts with the upbeat Punjabi track titled "Punjabi Touch", also known as
Nach Punjaban Nach. This song is climbing the music charts with it's rejuvenated video directed by Ahsan Rahim.

The title song "Assan Jana Mall-O- Mall" is named after a popular Road in Lahore called Mall Road. The song has funny lyrics which is always a treat to all his fans. Funny lyrics such as:
"Pyar Di Floppy Saadi Ho Jaye Na Copy".

Next is "Preeto". In this song Abrar is convincing "Preeto" to marry her with a typical Punjabi Folk tune. This song also has funny lyrics along with some funny sound effects.

The song "Rang Rang" has an Arabic Touch to it. In this Urdu song Abrar is singing what they call a "Soofiyana Kalaam". Praising Allah and his blessings followed by "Sukh Deyan Neendan".
"Badam Rangee" can be categorized as a wedding song. In this song Abrar talks about what goes on in a typical Jatt marriage.

The Song "Rondeyan Nain Wangan" could have been sung well by Shazia Manzoor. It's written for a female. How come our singers don't have guest appearances from other artists like it happens in American and European albums? Anyways, Abrar has not done a bad job on it, he sang it in a sad tone, which is appropriate for the song.

The Song "Jagga" is an emotional song. Here Abrar talks about the famous Punjabi story of the character Jagga Jatt who was a "Badmash" and was killed in an encounter with his enemies.
Abrar tries another Urdu song "Dilbar" which has a pop beat and good lyrics. The song takes us back to his first Urdu hit song "Bheega December", which had the same theme and feeling.

Album ends with "Sar Utha Kay" a song with a cry to stop child labor, religious discrimination and a need for women's rights. The lyrics have a rebellious touch to stop all the wrong deeds in the society and change them for good.

This album is a must buy for all the Abrar fans and for those who are not his fans yet. So go out, buy the album and enjoy the music!
