Review
of Fuzon's Debut Album
The greatest debut
album I have ever heard!!! Yes it is Fuzon's "SAGAR".
The band promises to steal your heart and keep it. The
Fuzoneers were already racing with the stars on the
sky with their popular song 'Ankhon Ke Sagar' when
they released their album "SAGAR".
The lead singer Shafqat
Amanat Ali, the guitarist Shallum Xavier, and the
keyboards by Imran. The trio is definitely here to
stay. The album is expected to smash most of the
previous records. The charismatic lead singer takes
off a wonderful start with the ever popular song 'ankhon
ke sagar' followed by another master piece 'teray bina'.
Shafqat shows his talents with the next song 'madhbanti'
which is a semi-classical song and is really
excellent. Then comes 'doorian' a light sentimental
number. 'piyar na raha' is a peppy song, a nice one.
'Malhar' has a lot to
do with Raags and Sur and is good. A patriotic/ love
song 'deewane' follows which is quite an inspirational
number and the lyrics are really nice. 'nadanian' is
also a little fast song but good to listen to. 'baatein'
follows which is excellent and the basic tune of the
song is very different and unique. Shafqat steals
the show with 'khamaj' and that in spite of
being my personal favorite really shows that we do
have some good voices and real talent.
Excellent lyrics,
wonderful music and exceptional voice, 'Khamaj' will
soon hit the charts and will surely stay there. The
album winds up with the graceful 'ankhain'.
The album will
definitely not disappoint those who heard sagar
before. But fuzoneers will be praised for the work
they have done to put up this album. To be frank, the
album is too good to be a debut album and this band
has taken off an extra-ordinary start. Let us all hope
they continue this great stuff.
