Review
of Jupiters' New Album
Jupiters is
one of oldest bands of Pakistani pop music scene. It is
same bad that introduced Ali Azmat (presently working with
Junoon), Jawad Ahmed (who is poplar solo singer these
days) and Irfan Kiyani (who happens to be brother of
Hadiqa Kiyani). Jupiters started promoting their music and
band in mid eighties but their main focus was private
functions where they used to perform on demand. Based in
Lahore, this band maintained itself as a low-profile band.
Still this band could be categorized as Underground band.
If you are still wondering that which band it is then let
me tell you these are same guys who introduced mega hit
numbers like "Dosti" and "Saray Gidday
Witch".
It's unfortunate that band's lead vocalist left and either
started solo singing or joined any other band. Otherwise
if they remained stick to Jupiters, this band was in
position to enter in list of leading bands of Pakistan.
Jupiters remained absent from local pop scene mostly for
long time but now once again they are back just like
Strings is back. Jupiters is back and back with a big
bang. This big bang is their album "Jupiters".

The cover
shows all seven-band members together for group-photo.Perhaps
Jupiters is only band with largest number of band members.
The ride starts with first track "Bali" that's
getting popular day by day. This song simply captures your
attention and you start your ride where you find every
song melodious and give pleasant
effect to your ears. This album has diversification in it
and Jupiters have taken care of every kind of music
lovers. Every song is good and lyrics have been well
written. But songs like "Bali", "Bawa"
and "Dil Key Lagee" are simply treat to listen
and demand your attention. Similarly patriotic song in
this album gives very
smoothing effect to your ears and you enjoy sweet melody.
No matter if you like Pop, Soft Rock, Bhangra, Mystic or
Patriotic songs; Jupiters have captured all dimensions
effectively. Only this that seems missing is effective
promotion of album. In this era of competition, so many
bands and singers are coming up with new albums but
effective promotion through Television has become best.
Rather I should say that Song Videos have become vital
element for success. Sponsorships are also required these
days to prepare good videos so we hope Jupiters will now
think about it.
With some catchy music, good lyrics and vocals, Jupiters
are back with big bang. I will rate this album at number 7
out of maximum 10 rating scale. If you like good music
then this album is just for you.
