Review
of Jawad Ahmed's Ucheyan Majajan Wali
Jawad Ahmed is no doubt,
one of best solo singers of Pakistan. He is very talented
and versatile pop singer who always has some good lyrics
for his songs. The best part is that he himself writes
these lyrics mostly. Jawad's lyrics set him on course to
greater heights 18 months ago when he released his hit
album, "Bol Tsujhay Kiya Caheay". His most
recent attempt is "Uchyaan Majajaan Wali".
This new album is different from his previous efforts,
since comparatively speaking sit has more mainstream songs
in Urdu than in Punjabi. From the start the album offers a
string of commercially viable hits one after the other.
The best-of tracks are the title track, "Tu Mairee
Key Lagdi"s, "Aja Hun Dholna" and "Banto".
Jawad
has also sung two songs, his trademark type, "Who Hai
Tairaa Khuda" and "Deewanay".
The remaining songs of album have various shades of love
he has in life, from the girls of his dreams to his
country and then his faith in Allah. The song "Samaan
Hai Yeh Mastana" is inspiration from neighboring
country's hit song. Though he has done better with his
pure Jawad hits, still the singer might have a good reason
for copying this one.
Through this album, Jawad also promises to launch a
campaign for education and mass awareness regarding issues
such as environment, basic rights and literacy. We hope
that he remains faithful to his aim and does not shift to
pecuniary goals. Do buy this nice album and enjoy some
good songs.
"Yaadein" another slow song. It Takes me back to
the time of "Aamir Saleem".
Last is "Raag Trance", a very good effort by
Shahzad. There is no doubt that he is a good composer may
be a great one.
I enjoyed listening to this CD and would probably listen
to the songs "Saajna", "Sodiyaay",
"Pyar" one more time. As I do that, you also go
ahead and enjoy the music by Shahzad Haroon.
